Abstract: Data democratization is an essential step to becoming a data-driven organization. It envisions data accessibility for all employees and relevant stakeholders regardless of their technical background. This talk shows how Port Of Antwerp-Bruges floats towards data democratization. We give practical examples by focusing on four topics:

1. People - employees and stakeholders stepping on board of a data-centric organization

2. Processes - helping to manage data in environments where almost everyone starts to work with data.

3. Tools - diversified data products like Power BI, an in-house built Digital Twin, or a Geographic Information System helps people with different backgrounds and different purposes to work with data.

4. Data - combining your data with relevant open data to empower people in drawing the right insights using their tools.
